Tikuriino is a one-of-a-kind street performer and physical entertainer, known for his expressive movement, comedic instincts, and engaging presence. His journey into the performing arts began at age 24, when he was inspired by a televised juggling act by mathematician-performer Peter Frankl. At the time, he was working as a salaryman in the manufacturing industry, but that spark of curiosity led him to quit his job in 2002 to pursue a full-time career in street performance.　

In 2003, he debuted under the name “Tikuriino” A year later, he entered the Fukuyama Street Performance Contest 2004, where a clerical misreading of his name entry resulted in him being announced as “Tikuriino” Embracing the moment—and ultimately winning the Grand Prix—he officially adopted the new stage name “Tikuriino”

Since then,Tikuriino has performed at festivals, cultural events, and street stages across Japan, blending physical comedy, juggling, mime, and storytelling to captivate audiences of all ages. His work is characterized by originality, adaptability, and a deep connection with live spectators—making him not only a seasoned street performer, but a compelling physical actor for film and stage.
